Title: GIS Analyst
Location: Richmond VA- Hybrid
VDOT’s Central Office Maintenance Division requires advanced GIS support for one of their Programs.
Candidate must be able to take direction from the Program Manager to both create and manage the creation of GIS maps, map attributes, and associated mapping reports in support of their application.
This will include the ability to use and direct the use of ArcGIS in the performance of these duties.
Candidate must be able to use data submitted in Excel spreadsheets, databases, or other similar systems to create GIS maps and populate associated fields as per requirements.
Candidate must be able to receive requests from VDOT field users and provide expert advice and support regarding all GIS mapping to/from their systems.
Skills Table:
BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or other related field with/ GIS experience.-Required
Proven Experience in GIS and GIS bases Application Development- Required
Prior experience with LRS working knowledge and experience with ESRI Roads & Highways or other similar systems is a plus- Nice to have
Experience in Reporting Tools such as Power BI is strongly desired.- Highly desired
Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication, design, development, and debugging skills- Required
