Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounting Operations: Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Inventory Accounting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Budget and Forecasting: Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
- Internal Controls: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks to ensure the stability and growth of the company.
- Administer Bi-Weekly Payroll: Efficiently manage the bi-weekly payroll process using our HRIS Payroll Platform, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all employees. Maintain and update payroll records and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
- Collaborate with CPA Firm: Partner with our CPA firm to address tax and accounting issues. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and provide necessary documentation and support for audits and financial reviews.
- Year-End Reporting: Prepare and manage year-end reporting for tax, payroll, and financial purposes. Ensure all reports are accurate and submitted on time, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Monthly Commissions: Calculate and process monthly commission payments for the sales staff. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in commission disbursements and address any related queries or issues.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Supervise the accounts receivable process, including the management of past due invoices. Implement effective strategies to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
- 3 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online for managing financial transactions, generating reports, and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Experience with payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with the financial operations and challenges unique to privately owned service-oriented businesses.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
