Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN) will provide skilled, personalized nursing care for an elementary student providing personal care and medication administration. This role is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with experience working with children, adolescents, and families, focused on creating a therapeutic, individualized environment. This is a full-time contract position through May 2025.

Requirements
- Education: Completion of an accredited program in practical nursing, qualifying you as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted license in the state of Texas as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of recent LPN / LVN experience, especially with children, adolescents, and families in a community, school, or home health setting. Must have experience with Trache.
- Credentials: Background check, OIG, SAM, OFAC, and NSO screenings as required.
- Current BLS-level CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Compliance with Hepatitis B vaccine
- TB screening and baseline testing upon hire (two-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold as required)
- Drug screening as per client contract.
- Only clinicians with Trache experience should apply
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate life support systems
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient reactions.
- Assist student with daily living skills, social skills, and recreational activities.
- Record and maintain health information in compliance with HIPAA.
- Ensure all care practices respect cultural diversity and age-specific needs.
- Special Focus: As a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse, support individual students with special needs by providing clinical care and therapeutic activities to promote independence and developmental progress.
