Job Summary
ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for an assignment in the Medical-Surgical unit in Liberal, KS. The primary responsibility of the Medical/Surgical Nurse is to provide, coordinate, and document medical care throughout a patient’s stay at the facility. Specific responsibilities depend on the ailment in question and involve care from beginning to end. The Nurse plays a key communication role by coordinating care with various members of the patient’s medical team. Additionally, the Med/Surg Nurse provides emotional support to patients and their family members.
Responsibilities
- Admitting and assessing patients
- Administering medications and treatments
- Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
- Operating and tracking medical equipment
- Running and ordering tests
- Coordinating care with physicians and specialists
- Charting patient progress
- Patient ratio: 1:6
Requirements
- Experience: 2-year experience required
- First-time Travelers: 1-year previous travel experience
- Certifications/License: BLS, Valid KS or Compact RN license
- Need to have experience with children and infants
- Charting:
- On-Call: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- COVID & FLU: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
- Locals allowed: No, requires that your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from location
- RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission
