Job Summary
ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled Pathologist Assistant for a Laboratory assignment, Pathologist Assistant is a highly skilled healthcare professional who plays a crucial role in the pathology laboratory. They work under the supervision of a pathologist, assisting in the preparation and examination of various biological specimens. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, pathology, and laboratory procedures. Pathologist Assistants are essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of pathological diagnoses, which are fundamental for the treatment and management of diseases.
Responsibilities
- Performing supportive pathological tasks under the direction of a pathologist.
- Collecting samples and processing laboratory specimens.
- Conducting research and preparing reports to describe findings.
- Examining and reporting information about surgical specimens.
- Managing inventory, procedures, personnel, and training.
- Preparing tissue specimens for examination and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Correlating findings with patient clinical history and radio-imaging.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience (Required)
- Certifications: ASCP CERT REQUIRED, BS in Lab Preferred
- Charting: EPIC
- First-time Travelers: Yes
- On-Call: Minimal
- Weekend Requirement: No

- Locals allowed: No, requires that your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from location, zip code 87102
- RTO Restrictions: must be listed at time of submittal
Pay Breakdown - Weekly $3400 - (Tax $1832 ($45.80 hr) / Non Tax-Stipend $1568)
