Job Description
ATC Healthcare Services - New York City is seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver's Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist the driver in delivering goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of commercial routes on locals roads in NYC and tri-state area to ensure that deliveries are made on time and in good condition. This position is on the road, with travel throughout NYC and the tri-state area.

25.00-$27.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Assist the driver with loading and unloading cargo from the vehicle.
Ensure that all deliveries are made accurately and on schedule.
Plan and help navigate routes to optimize delivery efficiency.
Support the driver in managing paperwork related to deliveries ensuring inventory matches work orders.
Complete documentation pertaining to mileage and cargo, fuel, and toll expenses.
Follow all state and national large truck driving safety regulations and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and equipment.
Refuel vehicles and check or replace oil as needed.
Inspect trucks daily for damage or maintenance problems.
Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors.
Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
Licensing
Must hold a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type C None CDL.
Must have a clear driving record, free of speeding, reckless driving, accidents, speeding, and DUI infractions.
Requirements
2 years of professional driving experience or related work experience.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
Physically fit and able to sit for long time periods.
Perform truck maintenance as needed.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Experience with route driving or courier services is a plus.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is beneficial.
