Shift Notes: EOW, Holiday Rotation, NIGHTS,
Unit CVICU # of beds 12 Ratios 1:2, or 1:1 based on acuity
Common diagnoses/Types of patients AMI, CAD, PVD, Experience or 'Must have' skills IABP, CRRT, Fresh OHS from the OR experience
Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Dex, Propofol, Dop, Neo, Epi, Levo, Insulin, Cardene, Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Both Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Sometimes 1 NA for the CVICU Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Hospitalist RT in ICU 24/7 Available not unit specific but department specific may share with the ICU RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Vents, Bipap, Cpap, Vapotherm, HiFlow Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? RNs read strips Shifts & Scheduling 12 hrs 7/7 Weekend Requirement every other weekend but may defer if skill needed M-F; department decision Holiday Requirement Yes Is there a call or standby requirement?
