Job Summary
ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled CT Technician for a Radiology unit assignment in Centralia, WA. The primary responsibility of the CT Technician is to ensure that physicians and other members of a patient’s care team receive high-quality images for accurate diagnoses and assessment of treatments. The CT Technician interacts professionally with patients, fully explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and increase satisfaction. A thorough understanding of human anatomy and physiology, as well as the technical aspects of imaging equipment and procedures, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Interpreting orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional
- Explaining CT scan procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety and increase satisfaction
- Positioning patients properly to capture the necessary images
- Administering IVs with contrast dyes to enhance imaging
- Examining images to ensure they are of high quality and usable
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient medical records
- Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
- Managing inventory of CT scan supplies and ordering restocks as needed
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required
- First-time Travelers: Yes
- Certifications: BLS, AART (Advanced cert preferred), must have WA license in hand.
- Charting: EPIC
- On-Call: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, on call as needed
- COVID & FLU: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
- Locals allowed: No, requires that your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from location
- RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission
- Special Requirements: Experience with Neonates, Infants, and Pediatrics is preferred but not required
