. The Data Business Analyst positions will help us discover, define, and deliver the requirements necessary for this program to be successful.
Please describe the project work, and what do day-to-day responsibilities look like:
The Data Business Analysts will be interfacing with software and data engineers in the Data Acceleration team, as well as with technology teams currently aligned to the data assets (files, databases, systems) we’ll be optimizing and accelerating as part of this program. In addition to the technical teams, this role will spend some time partnering with product manager and business representatives from the business units where this data is currently being used or where it could be used, capturing their needs in Confluence and Jira. This role will also be involved in creating and updating internal documentation on the data.
What technologies or systems will this contingent worker be utilizing?
Jira, Confluence, Excel, AWS S3, SQL/Python (no programming required – just need to be familiar with it)
a. Preferred
i. 1. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to understand and translate business data needs into workable user stories
ii. 2. High proficiency in technical writing, with experience generating process documentation and reports
iii. 3. Excellent independent analysis skills, able to ask the right questions and research to gather and document requirements
iv. 4. Fast learner with technical aptitude, able to come up to speed quickly on our data strategy and foundation
b. Nice to Have
i. 1. Proven ability to manage projects and work independently
ii. 2. Proficient with data exploration tools, various data types, and ELT practices
iii. 3. Awareness of Asset Management data.
