The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst/ Sr. QAA:
- will assist in the testing activities for the current eligibility mainframe system, supporting integrated services, and the MA21 AWS Cloud rehosting project in support of the One Health Initiative.
- will design and develop test cases and execute them using manual and automated methods.
- will conduct requirements analysis, develop day-over-day test metric reporting, and review test cases and scenarios to ensure software compliance.
- will also work closely with the Test Manager to oversee the day-to-day test execution, defect tracking, reporting results, and facilitate daily status calls.
This position is currently a hybrid remote position. Candidates will be expected to be onboarding and working onsite when requested. The candidate will be expected to be onsite for the final round of interviews. Our offices are located at 100 Hancock Street, Quincy, Massachusetts, 02171
Detailed List of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough analysis to comprehensively understand business requirements documentation residing on the Mainframe and Web enterprise systems.
- Participate in JAD sessions and technical walkthroughs as required and contribute to sorting out details as needed.
- Conduct GAP analysis to identify deficiencies or shortcomings in functional and business rules requirements and testing approaches.
- Design functional and regression test cases on an ongoing basis, supporting frequent and rapid changes.
- Execute defined test cases in compliance with MA21 standards to ensure confidence in functional releases.
- Identify and report deficiencies or defects, adhering to escalation processes to ensure accountability and issue resolutions.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and stand-up calls with the business as required. Provide updated information on defects and route cause analysis.
- Analyze and triage defects and participate in triage meetings providing information on defects and root cause analysis.
- Develop clear and concise write-ups of all test documents (test plan, test case results, test case summary) after each release.
- Attend required project or management meetings.
- Provide support on ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Deliver high-quality projects on time according to project schedules, including budgetary and time constraints.
- Comply with MassHealth’s Procedures under SQA’s IT Standard Operating Practices and Procedures, including, but not limited to, Methodology, Templates, and Tools, i.e., MA21 Mainframe, MassForge, Jira, and SharePoint.
- Deliver clear and concise communications via emails and MS Teams (chats/meetings).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fundamental Cloud knowledge, AWS, Azure.
- Broad knowledge of testing approaches and techniques for certifying software acceptance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within project teams, providing relevant system analysis services.
- Highly analytical skills and the ability to independently analyze test results. Confidence in making decisions and recommendations.
- Experienced in reviewing the work of business analysts and subject matter experts, ensuring well defined requirements contribute to defined functional use cases.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within project teams, providing relevant system analysis services.
- Strong MS Office skills, including MS Project.

- Five years of experience in black-box, white-box, functional, smoke, and regression testing.
- Prior experience in healthcare or government setting desired.
