Summary
The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for the projects and activities relating to the test stand procedures, and must comply with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform all projects relating to the test stands.
Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards.
Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the QS 9000 and MS 9000 systems as related to end of line testing.
Maintain the capability and capacity of the end of line test stand equipment including recommending maximum utilization of equipment and manpower.
Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Organizes work for smooth operations of test stand equipment based on production needs and line efficiency.
Assures that established policy, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
Troubleshoots problems and facilitates problem solving teams.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to communicate effectively with oral and written communication including telephone conversation.
Computer Skills
Ability to operate PC computer, using word processing, spreadsheet and data base software applications. Ability to format memos, spreadsheets and graphs.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to interpret company and departmental financial data.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
