Summary
Design, Develop, and Launch of BEV battery manufacturing test and control system solutions in support of a remanufacturing manufacturing environment.

Education And Experience
The ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, machine drawings, wiring/electrical schematics, and repair manuals is required. The Test Engineer must have the ability to write detailed reports with supporting documentation and data. The Test Engineer must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and leaders of the business organization. Must be able to read and understand English.
Computer Skills
Must be proficient in the operation of computers, word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications. The Test engineer must be able to demonstrate the ability to develop written communication, spreadsheets, charts and graphs. Test engineer must have the ability to interpret multiple test stand programming languages including PLC, LabVIEW, etc.
Mathematical Skills
The ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals is a requirement. The test engineer must have the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and possess the skills to develop and interpret graphs. This position requires understanding of typical statistical methods and the interpretation of statistical results.
Reasoning
The position requires the ability to solve practical problems with limited known variables, in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form is a requirement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for using in-house software and hardware to test our own test stands.
- Work with customer specifications to execute battery performance testing using cyclers equipment and provide accurate result reports.
- Develop and review schematics and layout to verify conformance and to determine testability
- Integrate hardware and software systems to create complete test solutions
- Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy ongoing improvements for quality control and plant operations
- Design, develop, and test control systems for industrial equipment and automation
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues with test systems and equipment.
- Write plans, co-develop procedures, and analyze data for validation activities
- Run complex test setups using various types of high accuracy measurement equipment to test batteries and cells.
- Conduct investigation and prepare report to communicate findings
- Troubleshoot equipment and sample issues, maintaining and solving test equipment problems, as needed
- Develop important metrics for day-to-day activities
- Perform any other additional duties as assigned
- Willing to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.

Education And Experience
- A BS or MS in Electrical engineering (or representative experience) with at least two years of experience with experience with hazardous voltage testing systems
- Battery pack testing knowledge is a plus
- Familiarity with common instrumentation testing equipment and data acquisition and control systems required.
- Experience programming real-time applications such as PLC.
- Experience with electronics and automation.
- High level of analytical ability required, where problems are unusual and difficult.
- Must be able to prioritize assigned tasks, and accurately estimate the time and costs required for project completion.
