Summary of Responsibilities:
Do you have an eye for detail and knowledge of computer aided design programs? If so, ATC is looking for a Substation Designer to work on project teams to design substations.Essential Responsibilities:
You’ll use your associate’s degree in electrical, utilities or mechanical engineering technology to assist Design Engineers in completion and review of design engineering work and apply ATC design standards in support of implementation of substation projects. Along with the Design Engineers, you’ll perform site walk downs, and confer with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that design activities are customer focused, results oriented and performance driven.
You’ll use your experience in computer aided design to complete and/or review complex drawing packages, such as physical layouts, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, from sketches provided by others. If you’ve never designed substations, we will teach you! In addition, you’ll review and procure existing asset records and drawings from the ATC records storage systems for use in design projects and prepare or review construction documents and drawings to support Construction, and other ATC department activities.
