What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Highway Project Manager position at ATCS PLC?
ATCS is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team as Senior Highway Project Manager in Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity to support a rapidly growing bridge practice in Pennsylvania. The individual will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to PennDOT, PA Turnpike and various municipal roadway design projects. The diversity of responsibilities requires a flexible mindset and cooperative team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing leadership and management capabilities and opportunities. This position can be based out of the ATCS Camp Hill or Altoona offices with hybrid flexibility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily responsibilities may include project design, task management, client contact, and quality control.
- Development of roadway construction documents, specifically roadway plans, profiles, typical sections, maintenance of traffic plans, cost estimating and planning
- Preparing reports and studies
- Preparing for, attending, and participating in public meetings
- Directing others in performing designs for various roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO, PennDOT and local municipality requirements; reviewing and managing designs prepared by others
- Coordinating with contractors, utility companies and government agencies
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineers license in PA is required
- MicroStation ORD experience is preferred
- Familiarity with AASHTO, PennDOT and regional design standards, practices, and policies
- Experience with PennDOT/PA Turnpike Highway Project Management

Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $89,100 to $133,650 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
