Position Description :
We are looking to hire an Associate Relations Specialist where you will be responsible for the communication, guidance, and education of core and common Associate Relations (ER) / HR policies. You will provide support and consultation that champions our company purpose and values while maintaining a focus on risk mitigation. Individuals within this position have an adaptable approach in order to consult with various levels of leadership throughout the organization. This position acts as an independent, confidential resource providing analysis of facts, conclusions, and recommendations as appropriate.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Act as liaison with and trusted advisor to ATD associates at our US locations, addressing general associate-related questions and responding to daily inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Partner with line managers to resolve associate issues such as performance concerns, absenteeism, leave requests, and policy enforcement.
- Provide counseling and coaching to managers and provide guidance related to associate conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and / or termination.
- Schedule and participate in associate exit interviews.
- Regularly report on and analyze employment data.
- Conduct fair, neutral, timely investigations while applying company policies and federal / state regulations and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Travel Required : 20 % of the time, travel throughout the geographic area and may require overnight stays. Travel to the Field Support Center (Huntersville, NC) and other destinations as required.
