The ATE - Field Technician Lead is a full-time role responsible for overseeing daily service operations, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. This position requires building strong relationships with customers by establishing and maintaining open lines of communication.
The Field Technician Lead is accountable for performing complex diagnostics, utilizing advanced electrical and technological expertise, and demonstrating critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. They will also handle ADAS calibrations for various makes and models in a fast-paced environment that demands a strong sense of urgency. In addition to performing their own duties, the Field Technician Lead is expected to assist and support other ATE- Field Technicians in the market with diagnostics and training. They must be committed to training and developing team members to ensure continuous growth and success.

Responsibilities
- Assist ATE- Field Technicians in the market by providing diagnostic support and training.
- Proactively train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Deliver fast and accurate ATE service support to customers, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Perform a range of vehicle services, including but not limited to, Diagnostics, calibrations, programming, scanning, and wire/ connector repair.
- Perform vehicle services, including diagnostics, calibrations, and programming, ensuring that only required services are recommended and documented to maintain transparency and uphold the highest standards of integrity.
- Perform and analyze vehicle health scans using factory and non-factory tools.
- Conduct test drives of customer vehicles after repairs to ensure proper function and safety.
- Effectively communicate diagnostic results in both verbal and written formats.
- Provide outstanding customer service by handling challenging situations with transparency and a strong sense of urgency.
- Communicate effectively and promptly with both internal and external customers.
- Escalate and support customer concerns as needed.
- Exercise independent judgment to address issues as they arise.
- Actively participate and collaborate in periodic team meetings.
- Protect, safeguard, and properly maintain all equipment and the company-assigned vehicle.
- Complete all required or assigned training.
- Travel daily to service locations.
- Consistently meet productivity goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5 years of experience in servicing and diagnosing all automotive systems.
- Proficient in technology tools, including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and other relevant platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of ADAS systems and electrical services, including calibrations, programming, diagnostics, and wire/connector repair.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Committed to continuous learning, with a desire to develop new skills and expand knowledge for career growth.
- Ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
- Capable of standing for extended periods in automotive shop environments and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Energetic and highly motivated, with a passion for the industry and a commitment to positively representing the ATE brand.
- Strong understanding of electrical diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, power probes, resistors, and more.
- Willingness to work within and support a high-impact, cross-functional team.
- Ability to implement adaptive solutions based on root cause analysis and solution testing.
- Ability to read and comprehend both factory and non-factory service information.
- Interpret vehicle wiring schematics accurately.
- Proven ability to perform level 1, 2, and 3 calibrations, including both static and dynamic.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
