Job Summary:
Atec, Inc. is seeking a skilled Steel Fabrication Finisher to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring all assemblies are properly cleaned and prepared for finish application.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience and knowledge of air blasting, specifically the operation of blast equipment. They will be able to understand and implement blast manufacturer's instructions, MSDS sheets, sequence work, and properly move and setup heavy material by hand, with overhead cranes and with forklifts.
This position requires excellent communication skills, as you will be working closely with supervisors and management to ensure that parts and assemblies are cleaned and blasted in accordance with shop drawings and cut sheets, including manufacturer's instructions and best industry practices.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing rework of material finish on parts or assemblies as directed by the Quality Control Manager. They will ensure that all steps, inspections, and other instructions as shown on the work control sheets and manufacturer's instructions are followed and documented.
