What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Specialist (TFDM) position at ATEC, LLC?
Technical Specialist:
ATEC is looking for a Technical Specialist to be responsible for providing networking and software licensing and quotes/renewals for the Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program; reporting directly to the Software Development Lead.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- The person in this position will work specifically with the TFDM Adaptation and Software Teams providing technical experience between management, vendors, and systems engineers in obtaining and renewing quotes and licenses for new and existing hardware and software.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to communicate on a technical level with management, vendors, and systems engineers.
- Ability to work individually and within a group/team.
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.
- Provide/obtain technical quotes.
- Create/maintain spreadsheets and technical documentation on a monthly basis.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (specifically Word, Excel and Visio), Networking/IT concepts; excellent communication and presentation skills.
Applicable functional areas include proficiency and knowledge of:
- Networking/IT concepts (routers, switches, cabling, rack hardware, etc.)
- Technical communication with Management, Vendors, and Systems Engineers
- Technical writing/documentation using MS Office (Specifically Word and Excel) and Visio
Bonus Skills:
- Technical individual with the required knowledge plus an A Certification (or equivalent/higher).
EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED required and six (6) years of related experience.
- An Associate?s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of two (2) years of experience.
- A Bachelor?s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of four (4) years of experience.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
- US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation
- Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Desk/lab located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.
- Little to no (5% or less) travel to locations throughout the US.
PAY RANGE:
- $44,000 ? $50,000
