The Network Surveillance Engineer – Network & Transport, Wireless NOC will support DISH Wireless’ 24/7 Network Operations Center. This role is responsible for monitoring Transport and Networking equipment, creating and providing initial troubleshooting for 5G cell site incident tickets. The engineer will act with urgency to resolve issues efficiently and escalate to Tier II when necessary.
A successful candidate will support end-to-end monitoring and troubleshooting across the network, analyze service/system issues, determine corrective actions, and implement solutions to restore services. This position will also involve escalation to the Fault Isolation & Management (FIM) team, root-cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions.

Responsibilities
- Monitor Network & Transport equipment and observability tools end-to-end.
- Identify incidents, assess impact, and log tickets using ServiceNow.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and support via market chat groups.
- Conduct site monitoring and health checks following maintenance activities (Change Requests).
- Oversee the incident management process and coordinate with team members for resolution.
- Prioritize incidents based on urgency and business impact.
- Collaborate and escalate critical issues to FIM, Advanced Ops, Engineering, and Vendor teams.
- Manage outages and emergencies while ensuring SLA and KPI compliance.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams: RF, Deployment & Integration, Tech Dev, Core, Cloud Infra, Network Engineering, and Market teams.
- Ensure trouble tickets are updated with all technical details, troubleshooting steps, and templates/MOPs.
- Maintain an optimized open incident backlog.
- Support and help maintain national network availability above 99.50%.
- Handle internal, external, and customer incident escalations and follow-ups.
- Ensure adherence to established processes and standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in telecom/wireless operations.
- Experience managing NOC shifts and troubleshooting in Network & Transport environments.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage dynamic schedules and team workloads.
- Solid understanding of 5G architecture, including Core, RAN, Transport, PaaS, and gNB configurations.
- Proficiency with networking protocols and technologies: IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, BFD, GNSS, PTP, CEF.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a drive to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to perform under pressure and build effective relationships across teams.
- Independent, reliable, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Flexible and analytical, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and people management skills.
- Able to multitask and adapt to fast-changing environments.
