Position Overview: The NOC IP Support Technician is a subject matter expert in complex telecommunications networks and T-Mobile processes. This role involves advanced remote network surveillance, troubleshooting network outages, and mentoring other technicians. The shift for this role is initially Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM for the first two weeks, after which a rotating shift schedule will be assigned. Note that the NOC operates 24/7, so night shifts are a possibility. Candidates must be eligible for conversion to full-time employment; sponsorship is not provided. Interviews will be conducted on-site in either Frisco, TX or Overland Park, KS. The maximum bill rate for this position is $100 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine remote surveillance and tier 1 maintenance for all network nodes in assigned areas.
- Support and mentor other technicians and engineers.
- Perform fault isolation and troubleshooting for network and interface problems with transport vendors.
- Monitor network alarms and perform fault isolation testing on radio, switching networks, and peripherals.
- Create and respond to work orders and trouble tickets; escalate as needed.
- Provide operations support during large-scale outages and disaster recovery.
- Complete training to stay current on systems, products, and company values.
- Identify and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to enhance troubleshooting and repair skills.
- 3 years of experience in a technical role.
- Intermediate understanding of TCP/IP concepts and common router user interfaces.
- Intermediate understanding of data/traffic flow between endpoints and network topology for Enterprise/Service Provider networks.
- Familiarity with HTTP and VOIP traffic flows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and participate in quarterly shift rotations.
- CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.
- CISSP or other security certifications (CheckPoint, A10) preferred.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls (Checkpoint preferred), and load balancers (A10 preferred).
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash/Python) and Linux/Unix server competency.
- High School Diploma required.
- A Bachelor's degree, or an Associate's degree plus 1 year of experience, may be considered in lieu of experience.
- The employer is not sponsoring work visas for this position.
- This position requires mobility, including standing, walking, and climbing.
- Ability to bend, turn, and twist the neck or waist, and maintain equilibrium.
- Shift work and participation in an on-call rotation are required.
