What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drill Room Technician position at ATech Training, Inc.?
As a Drill Room Technician, you will be responsible for operating basic wood and metal working machinery to fabricate and modify various wooden and metal components. This position will prepare cabinets and various other components for use by production assemblers.
Safe operation of drill press, router, band-saw, sander, grinder, and various hand-held power tools will be necessary in this role.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Route out customized standard cabinets for a specific model trainer
- Build electrical wiring harnesses using pre-cut wires and harness building jigs
- Perform quality inspection of incoming material and report defective material
- Participate on process improvement development teams and implement process improvements
- Maintaining communication with supervisor of low supplies or issues
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic hand-tool knowledge
- Keen attention to detail
- Time management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques
- Electronics knowledge
- Soldering
Physical Requirements:
This position typically requires: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Occasionally heavy work can constitute exerting up to 50 pounds of force to lift or move items.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
