Position Overview: As a Commercial Appliance Technician at ATECH, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of foodservice equipment. Our technicians work on everything from ovens and grills to refrigeration units and steam equipment. This role is perfect for skilled technicians who thrive on variety and enjoy hands-on work. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple trades, including Electrical, Gas, Steam, Refrigeration, and Mechanical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair commercial foodservice equipment, including refrigeration units, ovens, fryers, dishwashers, and more
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and gas issues with precision
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency
- Complete repairs in a timely, efficient manner with minimal disruption to the customer
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding their equipment needs and repair progress
- Maintain a high standard of work and provide exceptional service on every call
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with equipment repair; specific experience with foodservice equipment is highly valued
- Proficiency in one or more of the following trades: Electrical, Gas, Steam, Refrigeration, and Mechanical
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- EPA certification (or ability to obtain) for working on refrigeration systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be comfortable working in various environments to install, maintain, and repair equipment. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be the face of our company when interacting with clients on-site. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and meets the needs of our customers.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems in various settings.
- Perform maintenance on hydraulic systems and components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in repairs and installations.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to meet specific requirements or replace damaged components.
- Work with logic controllers and low voltage systems to diagnose issues effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment functionality.
- Document all service activities accurately for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance or repair roles.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and the ability to weld is preferred.
- Experience as an industrial electrician or similar role is a plus.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments for accurate assessments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
