We are seeking a proactive Schematic and Environmental Lead to oversee and deliver complex transportation projects, foster client relationships, and lead high-performing teams. This role focuses on driving business development, managing project metrics, and overseeing schematic design and environmental clearance processes, especially for TxDOT and government agencies.

Responsibilities
- Leads large project teams in marketing, winning and successfully delivering complex Schematic and Environmental Projects
- Fosters client relationships with TxDOT, County, and Municipal agencies as well as with other consultant teaming partners.
- Manages project metrics such as profit, net revenue, staff utilization, and AR.
- Provides technical and engineering support, including technical proposals, contracts, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Coordinates design and environmental tasks to obtain project approvals and environmental clearance.
- Responsible for performance of project staff. Mentors and develops team members.
- Actively participates in sourcing, attracting, and selecting talent.
- Helps lead strategic business planning efforts for the Engineering Division.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Degree in engineering or related field.
- PE License in Texas or ability to acquire same within 3 months.
- 12 or more years of progressive experience performing engineering duties similar to those listed above with 4 of those years managing projects. Particular consideration is given to experience leading multi-faceted project teams, schematic design, and TxDOT and NEPA processes such as environmental studies and public involvement tasks.
- Must pass background and driver's record check.
- TxDOT precertification in applicable categories.
