Job Description

POSITION : Theatre Coordinator

LOCATION : Hudson Theatre, New York, NY

HOURS : FULL TIME, Some evenings, weekends, & holidays

COMPENSATION : $25 - $30 / hour (Commensurate with Experience)

ABOUT THE POSITION

Hudson Theatre, the oldest and newest theatre on Broadway is currently home to “All In” featuring a star-studded cast with favorites John Mulaney, Jimmy Fallon, Lin Manuel-Miranda, and more. Primarily a boutique playhouse, Hudson Theatre has already been home to over fifteen shows and events since its grand re-opening in 2017.

The Theatre Coordinator will work out of Hudson Theatre in Midtown Manhattan, NYC.
The Theatre Coordinator reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with the Deputy General Manager, Customer Experience Director, the Box Office, the Stage Door, the venue’s House Heads, and occasionally the ATG Entertainment corporate team.
COVID-19 vaccination and a commitment to COVID-safe practices are required.

PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGS

Maintain Hudson Theatre’s social media presence

Create and design engaging Food & Beverage menu displays for the theatre’s bars

Manage customer service e-mail account and phone line responding to patron inquiries

Coordinate community engagement initiatives, including youth shadowing programs and the Broadway Cares / Equity Fights Aids Annual Flea Market

Handle ordering and invoice processing for office and facilities supplies

Serve as point of contact with office service vendors

Manage Hudson Theatre’s merchandise, implementing new items as necessary

Monitor Venue Rental inquiries and respond appropriately

Manage House Seat inquiries

Assist with special events and projects as needed

Maintain a current knowledge of the Broadway industry

Assist with administrative needs with our sister venues

Assist with recruitment and onboarding

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, and SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in administrative capacity

Excellent computer and digital media design skills : Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)

Excellent personal communications skills with demonstrated ability to support a team

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, solve problems quickly and work well under pressure

Detail oriented, able to handle several tasks simultaneously

Experience working in the arts or live entertainment a plus

Experience managing and overseeing an office a plus
