POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently recruiting a Flagger. The Flagger is responsible for directing vehicles around the construction sites. You will also be responsible for placing barricades, signboards and traffic cones, and related duties as assigned. This FULL TIME position is located in various locations in Virginia.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Traffic Control & Flagging Operations
• Manual labor such as cleaning equipment, hand mowing, and weed eating.
• Efficiently performs duties as assigned and works as a team within division and company.
• Participate in staff meetings and attend training as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills within the English language.
• Proven, high quality customer service (internal and external customers).
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Solid ability to analyze situations carefully and adopt appropriate courses of action.
• Ability to understand and adhere to the duties, methods, and procedures required by the position.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to effectively communicate to large and small group audiences.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Flagging class will be given by VDOT once hired
• Valid Driver's License with clean record
• Steel Toe Boots are required

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times.
• Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 5:00 pm.
• Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
