We are hiring a Nursing Scheduler to join our dynamic care team at Summit Commons Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Providence!
Monday-Friday schedule, 40 hours per week. $25 an hour.

As the scheduler, you ensure that staffing levels of nursing department are maintained in accordance with facility budget and protocol.

As the scheduler, you ensure that staffing levels of nursing department are maintained in accordance with facility budget and protocol.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in clerical. On-the-job training provided in scheduling.
- Preferably a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), but not required.
- Organize, prioritize, and coordinate all nursing staff schedules.
- Develop/utilize a master schedule at all times.
- Post staffing schedule 2-4 weeks in advance, minimum.
- Identify staffing problems, take initiative to resolve, communicate to DNS and/or Administrator.
- Update and prepare payroll in ADP for Corporate Bookkeeper on a daily/weekly basis.
- Maintain daily staffing sheets and DPH required staff sheet.
- Seek opportunities to fill open positions in a manner which limits overtime.
- Develop positive relationships with members of the nursing department.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills and mathematical ability.
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
- Is proficient in composition of written communication.
