Registered Dietitian (Part-Time or Full-Time)
Location: Arizona (Critical Access Hospital)
Schedule: Flexible — Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Mid/Evening as needed

Reports To: Nutrition Services Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for inpatient and outpatient populations, including assessments, nutrition care planning, education, and follow-up
- Counsel patients on food selection and meal preparation for disease management and prevention of complications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams and participate in care conferences
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex and high-risk patients
- Modify patient dietary profiles based on medical needs, intolerances, and preferences
- Support quality assurance initiatives within the Food Services Department, including menu development and service evaluation
- Deliver in-service education to nursing staff, food service personnel, and community groups
- Assist in documentation and reporting required for hospital accreditation and compliance
- Perform community outreach via nutrition-related presentations and public health education
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from an ACEND-accredited program
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience planning and managing therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting
- Strong experience with chronic disease management and lifecycle-based nutrition therapy
Preferred:
- 3 years clinical and food service experience (especially in outpatient or rural care)
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) — Preferred for AZ state licensure
- Experience working in a critical access hospital or similar low-acuity, broad-scope setting
- Background in quality improvement or menu development
- Comfortable providing presentations and in-service education

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
