Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacy Technician with active Arizona licensure to join our dynamic pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will bring strong hospital experience, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency with Omnicell automation systems. This role requires flexibility for evening and weekend shifts, working 10-hour days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision in accordance with hospital protocols and Arizona state regulations
- Manage medication inventory, including restocking, auditing, and expiration monitoring
- Operate and maintain Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets
- Assist in sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Deliver medications to various hospital departments in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and medication handling
- Follow infection control and safety procedures consistently
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Pharmacy Technician license in AZ (active and in good standing)
- Hospital experience (recent and relevant)
- Omnicell experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- IV certification or prior IV preparation experience
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
