Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5 shifts/week, 8-hour shifts)

Position Summary
Athena Medtech is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Travel Interventional Radiology Technician to support our Cardiac Cath Lab team. This role involves providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and procedural assistance in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating radiologic equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering accurate imaging results in interventional settings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related imaging field (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine program
- ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification (required)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) (required)
- Experience in a cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology lab strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC and PACS systems a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals or contrast agents in accordance with safety protocols
- Accurately position patients and operate imaging equipment to capture clear, usable images
- Monitor and adjust scan parameters as needed to optimize diagnostic quality
- Document scan data, patient history, and procedural details in the EMR and PACS
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety procedures and maintain a sterile field during procedures
- Communicate with physicians and healthcare team members regarding patient status and findings
- Support emergency procedures and help organize the day’s schedule based on clinical priority

- Adaptable and calm under pressure, especially in emergent situations

Pay: $2,640.80 - $2,646.80 per week
