Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3 Nights/Week (Monday to Friday)

Position Overview
Athena Medtech is seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This role is ideal for a skilled RN with a strong background in perinatal care who can provide safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered nursing care throughout all stages of childbirth. The successful candidate will be dedicated to fostering a positive birth experience while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans in accordance with best practices and hospital protocols.
- Monitor, record, and effectively communicate changes in patient conditions to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless and comprehensive patient care.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders promptly and accurately.
- Provide emotional and clinical support to patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
- Assist with patient education and participate in discharge planning, collaborating with case managers and other healthcare team members.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (preferred or required depending on hospital policy)
