Schedule: Monday to Friday | 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM (3 Days/12-Hour Shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours

Position Overview:
Athena Medtech is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Traveler) to join our dynamic Med Surg team. The ideal candidate will provide direct and coordinated nursing care to patients, working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality healthcare in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, evaluate, and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document and communicate patient conditions, treatments, and responses
- Serve as the primary point of coordination for all disciplines involved in patient care
- Carry out physician and nursing orders effectively and promptly
- Conduct assessments and assist in developing and executing discharge plans
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with the broader healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
- Prior experience as a traveler RN preferred
- Proficient in EMR documentation and standard Med Surg procedures
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple patients in a high-acuity setting
Preferred Skills:
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Experience with discharge planning and interdisciplinary coordination
- Skilled in patient and family education
