Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3 Days/12-Hour Shifts)

Position Overview:
Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (Traveler) to join our team on the 4th Floor Med/Surg Unit. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in both med/surg and telemetry nursing who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans in accordance with best practices
- Continuously assess, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team
- Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary care, ensuring comprehensive and seamless patient management
- Follow physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly
- Support patient discharge planning through effective coordination with healthcare team members
- Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor and interpret patient heart rhythms, responding appropriately to clinical changes
- Provide patient education and emotional support to both patients and their families
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry nursing, including rhythm interpretation
- Experience as a traveler nurse preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with EMR systems
