Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMCU)
Department: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
Location: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3 Days/Week
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-Hour Night Shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Position Summary:
Athena Medtech is seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit. This position is ideal for RNs with a strong background in Progressive Care who are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and vital signs accurately.
- Implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for patient care among various departments and services.
- Assist in discharge planning by assessing needs and coordinating with the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Progressive Care/Intermediate Care setting.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience with travel assignments preferred but not required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in monitoring complex patient conditions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
