Athena Specialty Group’s primary goal is to improve the quality of life for our patients at home. We also provide special wound therapies in the home setting for those patients that qualify by delivering a plan of care that is a comprehensive approach centered on the patient. Athena Specialty Group will work with healthcare providers to ensure a smooth transition from inpatient to home and communicate effectively with the clinical team and incorporate their input into the wound care plan. We are a Mobile Wound Care Provider Group who have headquarters based out of the Greater Phoenix Area. We are in growth mode - expanding nationally into other states - and building out an amazing team with a fun, hardworking culture.
We are searching for a highly motivated, self-directed candidate to join an innovative and rapidly growing organization.
The ideal candidate would have home health and some wound care experience. The candidate also must have an ability to provide great customer service with each encounter. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Interpersonal skills are a must for this position. This position is initially only for Ultrasound Therapy, and we provide all training. The candidate also sets up and participates in Telehealth visits. All equipment and training for this is provided.
Pay is a salaried guarantee, this is not an hourly position. Patient load is typically 6-8 patients per day. You are paid a salary for this role. Mileage is reimbursed.
This is a mobile position, which means you are required to visit patients in their home setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
- Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
- Performs non-contact, non-thermal ultrasound per instructions and under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner in the State of Washington
- Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
- Participates in coordination and execution of telehealth appointments as needed
- Provides routine wound care for patients.
- Observes patients’ health.
- Reviews and documents in medical charts.
- Assists clinician providers and office staff.
- Communicates with patients and their families.
- Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.
- Responsible for medical equipment and supplies.
- Prepares specimens for lab courier.
- Administers medications.
- Provides wound care.
- Assists with patient comfort
- Other duties as assigned.
Must have a reliable personally owned vehicle, ability to drive yourself from location to location, ability to pass a background check and random drug testing. The majority of care will be provided in the patient’s home setting, but temporary or permanent clinic hours may be required in the future

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
