Nurse Practitioner-Wound Care in Temple, Waco, and Killeen, TX and surrounding territories (Mobile Position)
Athena Specialty Group is a rapidly growing provider in specialized wound care, focused on treating patients with chronic, non-healing wounds. We are looking for dynamic Nurse Practitioners to join our team. As a mobile provider group, our work involves delivering wound care in patient homes and various clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive wound care assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
- Perform telehealth/virtual visits as permitted by state laws.
- Document patient progress and care in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prescribe medications when clinically indicated.
- Travel to patient homes with mileage reimbursement provided.
- Option to round in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or Rehabilitation settings when available.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP, APRN) with a Master's degree from an accredited program.
- Preferably 1 year of experience in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, or wound care.
- Prior experience in hospital critical care (ER or ICU) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work independently.
- Must be self-driven and able to manage time and workload effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $124,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
