Purpose:
Athene is seeking an Actuarial System Programmer Analyst Lead, Valuation Modernization to help develop and transition to a unified cloud-based valuation process. This role involves ensuring accurate actuarial results, supporting quality assurance, and collaborating with IT and Finance to create an integrated end-to-end process. Additionally, the candidate will educate and support valuation teams during the implementation of the new process.Accountabilities:
Ensures the delivery of timely and accurate actuarial production results across the organization by:
Contributing to the development of the new Valuation Process
Supporting QA/UAT of the new Valuation Process
Adhering to change management processes and follow established design patterns and coding standards
Partnering with IT and Finance to design a more integrated process end to end.
Understand existing valuation processes to ensure that new development fully supports the needs of the valuation teams
Educate and support valuation teams as they request and/or implement changes to the new Valuation Process
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and four plus (4 ) years of programming/system development experience required; four plus (4 ) years of life/annuity industry experience is a plus.
Experience in Python or another programming language is required.
Experience with AWS ecosystem is preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships are required.
ASA or FSA preferred.
