Tax Senior Manager-Technology

Purpose:

The Tax Technology Senior Manager will assist in creating a vision and driving change and modernization of the organization’s income tax accounting and compliance functions. This role will support our growing technology and transformation efforts, and will have a strong focus on tax technology, including the design, build, implementation and maintenance of the organization’s tax technology solutions for the US and international tax provisions and compliance processes.

Accountabilities:

• Develop a tax technology roadmap that facilitates the team’s long-term vision and objectives
• Develop and implement procedures with an emphasis on efficiency and controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, investment accounting, finance, FP&A and IT
• Create and implement innovative solutions to improve current processes utilizing strong tax technical and research skills and working closely with other tax team members to ensure the appropriate accounting treatment for multiple bases of accounting
• Lead the build and maintenance of master templates for compliance and provision for US GAAP/Bermuda statutory/US statutory processes
• Lead other process improvements that are inputs into the US and international tax provision and compliance processes
• Assist with the timely and accurate completion of quarter close activities
• Lead, manage, and/or assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5 years of professional tax accounting experience preferred
• Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant preferred
• Experience with US insurance taxation and consolidated income tax concepts are preferred
• Experience communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills
• Proven self-starter with effective time management skills
• Experience with process improvement/simplification and automation
• Effective use of MS office (including Excel and Word)
• Experience with accounting/compliance software and low code tools such as: Corptax, OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, Alteryx, and MS Power Platform
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field required

$110,592.00 - $165,888.00 USD Annual

Annual Salary for this role is market competitive.  Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.  Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
