Purpose:
The Lead Analyst of the Finance Transformation team will leverage investment accounting and other financial reporting data experience and expertise to provide dedicated business support to finance transformation projects and process and data efficiency initiatives.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with the Finance business to ensure proposed process and technology solutions meet current and future needs
- Research Finance related issues and utilize business improvement knowledge to improve processes
- Use Finance and Accounting technical and modernization expertise to drive near term resolution and drive long term improvements to align with strategic vision and roadmaps
- Document current state process and target state process and system designs
- Active participant in solutions under development to identify issues that may affect business functionality
- Research issues that arise, and participate in developing solutionsWork closely with Information Technology teams to deliver business value
- Serve as a liaison between IT and business users to ensure deadlines are met and business builds meet business needs
- Provide business support by executing or assisting with project activities
- Perform data clean up, research issues that arise from pain points, defects, requirements, etc.
- Influence change / change management by modeling behavior and leading training and development of processes
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5 years of experience in Financial Transactional Accounting or Financial Reporting
- Experience with BI tools to build large data automations using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau
- In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management
- Strong ability to develop working relationships
- Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting architecture and design
- Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment and react quickly, dynamically, and intelligently to shifting priorities and requirements
- Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders on highly complex projects
- Experience mentoring Junior Analysts in Technical development of automated reporting
- Bachelors degree or equivalent directly related experience
