What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Bar Bartender/Server position at Atheneum Suite Hotel - Downtown Detroit?
The Atheneum is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team. Compensation includes hourly rate plus tips.
Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. You will be serving our casual dining menu as well as drinks. Interact with guests who are in town for business and leisure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Perform opening and closing duties to ensure bar is left clean
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Skills
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Experience with MICROS a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certificate
