The Opportunity

Atheneum offers an exciting growth opportunity for a New Business Director to join us in a new growth phase across our North American teams focusing on the Private Equity vertical.

You will uncover new opportunities, build / manage your pipeline and close revenue with a true "hunter" mindset. Your role involves understanding client needs, challenges, and growth opportunities and strategically matching Atheneum's solutions to help them achieve their goals. This position requires a keen understanding of industry trends, effective client management, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

What You'll be Doing

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a go-to partner in the expert network arena.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by proactively reaching out to potential clients, understanding their unique requirements, and effectively showcasing the value of Atheneum's Expert Network.
  • You will work closely with our internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and successful collaborations that meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Navigating the negotiation and contract management process, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements between clients and Atheneum.
  • Monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to position Atheneum effectively in the ever-evolving business landscape.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in identifying, pursuing and closing new business opportunities and engaging clients effectively.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with internal teams, ensuring partnerships surpass expectations.
  • Proficiency in negotiation and contract management to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Proven experience monitoring industry trends, adapting to changes, and strategically positioning services based on market insights.
  • Results and data-oriented with a focus on exceeding business development targets.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to ensure smooth client engagements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in market research, data management, expert networks, or qualitative or quantitative research.
  • What We Offer

  • 120,000 USD starting base salary (negotiable based on experience) with total OTE reaching a potential $230K USD
