Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying plaster, stucco, and other materials to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and durable finish. This role requires proficiency with both hand and power tools, as well as a strong understanding of various construction techniques. The Plasterer will work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial buildings, contributing to the overall aesthetic and structural integrity of each space.
Responsibilities
- Apply plaster, stucco, or similar materials to walls and ceilings using appropriate techniques.
- Prepare surfaces for plaster application by cleaning, repairing, or restoring as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for mixing, applying, and finishing plaster.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of plaster work with drywall, trim carpentry, and other finishes.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks as required for specific projects.
- Lay tile and assist with hardscape installations when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make adjustments as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering and finishing work.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques is a bonus.
- Experience in tile laying, trim carpentry, hardscape installation, roofing, drywall application, restoration, or building is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with plastering.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
