Men's Locker Room/Housekeeping Manager
Club Overview:
The Athens Country Club is a private golf and country club established in 1926. It is located in Athens, Georgia which is the home of the University of Georgia. The club has a newly renovated casual dining and formal dining facility. ACC has an 18-hold Donald Ross golf course and a 9-hole North Course. In addition to the superb golf course, Athens Country Club has twelve lighted tennis courts, a generous size pool, fitness center, ballroom, meeting rooms as well as the casual and formal dining.
Reports to: Clubhouse Manager
Direct Reports: Locker Room Attendants Housekeepers
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in Hospitality is preferred.
- Three years of housekeeping supervisory experience in private club is preferred.
Job Description:
- Selects, trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates locker-room and housekeeping staff.
- Assures that tasks are assigned and completed as required.
- To arrive well-groomed, on-time and dressed in the appropriate uniform.
- Receives and greets members and guests by name.
- Ensures the safety and security of all members’ and guests’ personal property.
- Provide shoe-shining services.
- Collect and wash soiled lined in laundry room.
- Responsible for cleaning - showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, countertops, and more.
- Maintain inventory of towels, toiletries, locker room and cleaning supplies.
- Responsible for cleaning – Restroom areas on golf course, as well as, pool house and clubhouse.
- Vacuums floor surfaces in entire clubhouse and men’s locker room.
- Removes trash from wait station, office, restrooms, men’s locker room and etc.
- Mops floors throughout club and behind bars.
- Assist with daily banquet setup/reset.
- Clean/sweep veranda and patio.
- Clean/sweep front entrances, as well as, pick up trash from parking lot and surrounding areas.
- Remove stains as needed from upholstered chairs.
- Lockers (wood) dusted and polished.
- Maintain updated list of lockers.
- ·Must treat all Members, Guests, and Staff Members with respect.
- This position will also perform tasks as directed by the Clubhouse Manager
- Requirements & Physical Demands
- Attention to detail is a critical element of this supervisor position, as is a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral are necessities. Excellent organizational skills must be evident.
- Constant and accurate communication must be maintained between the Clubhouse and Golf departments
- Heavy member interaction; must be professional at all times in demeanor and appearance.
- High degree of discretion
- Required to stand for long periods
- Push/ pull/ lift 50 pounds.
- This position will have supervisory responsibilities of locker room and housekeeping personnel.
- Working for a private club entails night shifts, day shifts, weekend shifts and holiday shifts occasionally.
- A background check is required
