Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Back Office Medical Assistant with experience, to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential medical support and assist in delivering high-quality patient care within our clinic. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes while maintaining a focus on patient well-being. Eclinical works EMR knowledge is a huge plus, we are using version 12E. There is no traveling with our office, we donot have multuple locations. We are a very family oriented office, seeking like minded employee, if your looking for some where that feels like "your home" this is the office you have been looking for! This is a very fast paced and demanding role,in a small office setting, that requires you to be available for in office work, we do not have a work from home opening!
Duties
As a Back Office Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in the medical-surgical setting.
- Managing patient records and ensuring accurate documentation within electronic health record systems.
- Preparing examination rooms and ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functioning.
- Performing basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and conducting lab tests as directed.
- Coordinating patient flow to optimize efficiency during appointments and procedures.
- Communicating effectively with patients regarding their care plans, follow-up appointments, and any necessary instructions.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to adhere to health and safety regulations.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Previous experience in a office, hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
- Familiarity with medical back office assistant functions, including scheduling and insurance verification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to medicine in general, family practice, urgent care practice, or any other medical office setting .
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients while managing their concerns effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating flexibility in adapting to changing priorities.
