Description
- Oversee the department by regularly reviewing and auditing processes / procedures to ensure that the maintenance
- employees are performing quality inspections / repairs, documenting all repairs, and making process alterations as needed.
- Oversee the proper maintenance / repair of the mechanical and electrical components of the conveyor systems within the Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
- Prioritize workload according to safety factors & operational needs and ensures workload is evenly distributed.
- Reviews productivity levels and the progress of all repairs.
- Maintain safe work environment by ensuring safe work practices are followed.
- Conduct weekly / monthly safety meetings.
- Administer company policy and procedures and promote positive employee relations.
- Ensures proper parts inventory management and organization. Reviews regular inspections / cycle counts to guarantee processes are being followed.
- Provide proper coaching and / or mentorship to all maintenance employees that will help promote a healthy and positive work environment.
- Promote the use of relevant technology and information systems that improve shop performance such as Dossier.
- Oversee Maintenance Department expenditures through the procure to pay system such as DocAgent.
- Build / oversee the annual budget and / or CapEx projects.
