ASL Teacher
We are looking for a caring, fun, and experienced American Sign Language teacher to help support our students!
Our American Sign Language class teaches participants the basics of ASL and more. Participants will learn the alphabets, numbers and communication skills -receptive (listening) and expressive (speaking), with vocabulary and grammar. Our American Sign Language class will implement daily practice using vocabulary in conversation, while introducing the American Deaf culture and history to our participants.
Our Class Focuses On Teaching:
- The basics of American Sign Language
- Alphabets & Numbers
- American Deaf culture & history
- ASL communication skills -receptive(listening) and expressive (speaking)
- Practice using vocabulary in conversation
Job Responsibilities:
- Create bi-weekly lesson plan
- Implement games/activities to enhance student learning
- Cultivate a fun learning space
Details:
- Address: 477 Lincoln Cir, Millbrae, CA 94030 (Millbrae Recreation Center)
- Pay rate: $27 - $30/hr
- Dates: April 8 - May 27, 2025
- Day: Tuesday
- Times: 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm and 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm
- Group 1 - ages 7-10 years old
- Group 2 - ages 11-13 years old
Our instructors are required to undergo a background check.
Salary : $27 - $30
