Athletes Unlimited is seeking a Senior Manager, IT to oversee IT operations, lead our technology administration and logistics, ensure smooth execution of organizational IT initiatives, and shape and drive the IT strategy for our growing organization. This position is full time, remote, and reports to the Chief Technology Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee IT operations for our user base of Mac users and for our on-site PC equipment
  • Develop and implement robust IT security policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Manage the IT helpdesk to ensure timely resolution of technical issues
  • Establish and enforce SLAs for IT support requests
  • Stay up to date on emerging security threats and best practices
  • Oversee IT inventory and implement effective asset tracking and lifecycle management processes
  • Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery.utilizing project management tools to track progress and report outcomes
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with organizational goals
  • Manage and optimize the organization's Google Workspace environment to ensure seamless collaboration, email functionality, and data management
  • Oversee and maintain cloud infrastructure, security, and compliance initiatives on AWS
  • Optimize cloud resources to ensure cost efficiency and scalability
  • Design, deploy, and maintain reliable and secure Wi-Fi networks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the department
  • Provide IT support for company events (live and virtual), including audiovisual equipment and connectivity and ensure seamless integration of technology


Requirements

  • 5-7 years of IT experience, 1-3 years as a manager is a plus
  • Prior experience working in sports, live events or high pressure support roles
  • Proven experience in project management or strong administrative skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Preferred Certifications in Google Workspace Administration, AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect), or IT Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM)
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IT security principles and practices
  • Experience in IT support and helpdesk management tools (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk)
  • Experience managing Wi-Fi networks and IT infrastructure
  • Familiarity with event technology, inventory management, and logistics
  • Strong spreadsheet skills are preferred
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours when in-season
  • Travel to market during seasons (including entire summer), event support and venue search (Approximately 35-40% of the time)
  • Live near a major airline hub with preference for Central or Mountain timezone
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S


Benefits

This role is full-time, in-person and is compensated at a range of $70,000 to $85,000 annually. While this is the intended range, the actual compensation may vary based on several factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, and geographic location of the position. We anticipate the highest end of the range will be reserved for those who exceed the hiring committee's expectations on all measures of the evaluation process.
