What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard & Swim Instructor, Evenings & Weekends position at Athletic Club of Columbus?
As a Lifeguard & Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for the safety of our members in the pool area. This position will assist in the teaching of swim lessons and help to keep our pool clean and accessible.
Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor the pool by actively scanning the water and watching members to ensure their wellbeing while swimming.
- Rescue distressed persons, using rescue techniques and equipment.
- Maintain quality of pool water by testing chemical levels such as pH and chlorine.
- Examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment.
- Instruct swim lessons through interactive means (optional, WSI certification required to teach swim lessons).

Shift Schedule : Any (Sa-Su 7 : 00 AM -5 : 00 PM, Mon-Fri 4 : 00pm-9 : 00pm)
