Health and Wellness Specialist Night Shift
Job Summary:
The Health and Wellness Specialist plays a key role in workplace injury prevention and employee wellness. Under the direction of the ATS medical director, this position focuses on injury assessment, ergonomic risk reduction, OSHA-compliant first aid, wellness screenings, health education, and on-site wellness initiatives. This role also fosters relationships with employees and management, attends safety meetings, and supports company-wide wellness programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct wellness screenings (blood pressure, glucose testing, etc.).

Provide first-aid care for musculoskeletal issues, including taping, bracing, and stretching techniques.

Perform orthopedic injury assessments and assist with case management.

Develop and lead site-specific wellness initiatives, including workshops and ergonomic interventions.

Conduct ergonomic job risk analyses and implement corrective strategies.

Track and report wellness program utilization, cost savings, and injury trends.

Foster a culture of safety and injury prevention through education and direct communication.

Lead daily stretch-and-flex sessions and participate in safety meetings.

Support mental health first aid and basic medical screenings (e.g., fluorescein eye exams).

Maintain clinic supplies and collaborate with external healthcare providers as needed.
Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, BOC-certified athletic trainer, state licensure, First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Preferred: 2 years of athletic training experience, knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation, ergonomic/occupational health experience.

Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees.

Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
