Position Summary:
Clinton Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant High School Cheer Coach to assist the Head Coach in leading our cheer program. The successful candidate will be a valuable member of the coaching staff, assisting with all aspects of the program and fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Practice & Game Support:
- Assist the Head Coach with planning and conducting practices.
- Instruct cheerleaders in cheerleading techniques, including jumps, stunts, tumbling, and choreography.
- Supervise and assist with stunt groups, ensuring safety and proper technique.
- Assist with game-day preparations, including setting up equipment and managing sideline routines.
- Travel with the team to games and competitions as needed.
- Team Development:
- Assist in fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among cheerleaders.
- Assist with team building activities and community service projects.
- Mentor and guide cheerleaders in their academic and personal development.
- Program Support:
- Assist with fundraising activities and other program-related tasks.
- Assist with the maintenance and inventory of cheerleading equipment.
- Assist with the organization and execution of tryouts.
- Assist with communication between the coaching staff, cheerleaders, and parents.
