QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive knowledge of basketball, training and conditioning, and previous playing experience.
- Ability to work well with student athletes in order to provide a safe and rewarding experience.
- Previous basketball coaching experience with high school age students.
- Ability to build and maintain a high school program.
- Ability to work with local community basketball programs to facilitate growth of program athletes.
- Knowledge of student safety/health issues and a commitment to student safety, CPR certification and knowledge of concussion protocols.
- Serves as a role model to student athletes, both on and off the field.
- Ability to place the appropriate emphasis on STUDENT athlete.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents and appropriate staff regarding team procedures, organization and expectations and student athlete issues.
- Work with the Athletic Director to coordinate in-season practices, trainings and competitions, as well as off-season activities.
- Ability to motivate and encourage student athletes and resolve conflicts in a positive, productive manner.
